Medical Qualifications:

PRIME, Inc.’s objective is to introduce the safest associates to our fleet. In order to accomplish this, each new entry, will take a thorough physical examination that meets or exceeds the DOT standards.

This physical will include the requirements as spelled out by the FMCSA, PRIME, Inc. and day to day work skills criteria. These may include written screening tests as well as physical tests.

If you are currently under any type of medical treatment, therapy, use of medical devices or medication, you are required by law to disclose this information to the doctor conducting the physical. You need to bring all of these items / medications / information with you to present and discuss with the doctor.

Please be advised if you have any of the above issues that you talk to your recruiter BEFORE you arrive at PRIME, Inc. This would allow the required releases to be completed and information resolved before you come to PRIME, Inc.. We highly recommend that this be addressed prior to your arrival. Some of these issues or specific medications can prevent you from being able to pass the physical, which is required in order to join our fleet.

Some basic requirements are:

• Blood Pressure Levels: Less than 140 over 90
• Eye Sight: 20 / 40 or better in each eye (With corrective lenses if needed.)
• BMI (Body Mass Index): Must be less than 39Click here to use BMI Calculator.
• Hearing: Must be able to hear a forced whisper at 6 feet
• Diabetic: Sugar levels must be well controlled without insulin required
• Heart Related Issues: Must have special documents and may need recent specific tests
