Prime conducts ribbon cutting for new
Prime Plaza maintenance facility

Prime conducted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for its new Plaza inspection and fuel facility on April 2, 1998 at 11:00 a.m.. Missouri Lieutenant Governor Roger Wilson and Prime founder and president Robert Low were the keynote speakers.

The 30,000 square foot structure, designed by Slone Architects and built by Killian Construction, is an eight-bay entry inspection and fuel facility for Prime equipment. The Plaza also houses Prime's driver lineup, permit, log, road assistance, and security personnel departments.

The Plaza building is the first phase of a three-year, $15 million, 26.1 acre expansion of Prime's current terminal facilities. Phases two and three, the Commons driver amenity facility and the new shop service/repair facility, are projected for completion by 2000. The total expansion project will employ an additional 250 in-house associates and an additional 1,000 driver associates.
