Larry Burt, originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, has been named Independent Contractor of the Month for Wil-Trans, Prime's largest fleet contractor.

Burt has driven professionally for 14 years, the last four with Wil-Trans. He has won safety awards in the past and his handle is "Cojack." He has a son and a daughter and enjoys boating in his leisure time. "My 23 foot Bayliner is the love of my life," says Burt.

Eric Dowell is Prime's Independent Contractor of the Month for Wil-Trans, Prime's largest fleet contractor. "I'm running harder, making more money and am more challenged than I've ever been," says Eric, who's driven professionally since 1988, "and I'm happier than ever." Prime is a leading international truckload carrier headquartered in Springfield, Missouri with refrigerated, flatbed and liquid bulk divisions servicing an expansive customer base throughout North America.

Hailing from California, Eric is an avid musician and enjoys playing the drums and playing tennis in his leisure time. "I attribute my success to my father and stepmother. If it wasn't for them and their support, I wouldn't be where I am today."

"Thunderhead," as Eric is affectionately referred to on the road, "enjoys the different challenges that each new day presents. I like the freedom to overcome obstacles and feeling of satisfaction I get when I've succeeded in doing so," he concludes.

David Pelletier is the January 2002 Contractor of the Month for Wil-Trans, Prime's largest fleet contractor. Prior to completing his first lease with the company in November of last year, David was a U.S. Army nurse for six-and-a-half years and a licensed practical nurse for 13 years. "I needed to get out of nursing," he says. "I was burnt out and I didn't want to be inside four walls anymore."

Upon receiving his application via the Internet, Wil-Trans put the "Medic" through driving school and on the road to success. "I have my own business now and have been in 48 states," says David. He is Prime Time Certified and has helped train other drivers for the past year.

David is a native and resident of Franklin, New Hampshire. He recognizes that as a professional driver "you do the miles or the money doesn't come in," but he always looks forward to watching movies and going camping with his wife Tye and 13-year-old son. David also enjoys fishing and trying to beat David, Jr. at video games.
