Prime Announces the Creation of a Bulk Tanker Division
Prime Inc., a Springfield-based international truckload carrier with dominance in the refrigerated and flatbed segments of the transportation industry, announces the creation of a Bulk Tanker Division. According to Robert Low, Prime president, "This new endeavor is a logical and natural progression in Prime's relentless pursuit of excellence within the transportation industry. It is our intent to deliver the same level of quality service to this segment of the industry as we are known for in the refrigerated and flatbed markets."
Founded in 1970 as a refrigerated carrier, Prime has evolved as a respected and effective leader in refrigerated operations and in flatbed operations as well. Prime's new bulk tank operations enable the company to provide the full spectrum of consistently safe and reliable transportation services throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada.
To lead this new venture, Prime has engaged the expertise of Kirk Erickson. Kirk joins Prime with the vision of establishing a bulk tank operation dedicated exclusively to the food service industry. As with all other Prime fleets, the most modern, advanced equipment will be employed, including MC407 trailers and stainless steel pumps. A variety of options and service possibilities will be routine on all shipments. Specialized equipment will also be incorporated into the fleet upon specific customer demand. In addition, an extensive complement of hoses, fittings and other equipment will accompany each trailer so that all loading and unloading challenges can be met.
Mr. Low concludes, "Even as we enter this new market, we continue to enhance our ability to serve customers' diverse and ever expanding transportation needs. Our desire remains to be North America's ultimate delivery system by providing safe, reliable and timely transportation solutions which assure prosperity."
